A little on the SPC activity chart. The activity chart is just an overview of the various risked areas across the US. If the chart has an area circled in green that says slight, it means there's a slight risk for severe weather. A red circled area that says moderate means there's a moderate threat for severe weather. An area circled in purple means there is a high risk for severe weather, and any warning issued could produce a tornado. Sometimes there will be an area of brown circled on the chart, This means there is a risk for regular thunderstorms. .
