The air has that early spring feel!

The surface chart, radar and infrared satellite

We have high pressure sitting over New York State into New England with that cold front in the process of becoming a stationary front sitting south of the Mason Dixon line. There is moisture running along it.Satellite shows a lot of sun over New York State and New England While we have quite a bit of clouds associated with that moisture Over Pennsylvania Maryland Delaware New Jersey.

The warming trend has begun and it's definitely feeling like early spring over Pennsylvania and the rest of the Middle Atlantic. That frontal boundary is going to lift north today and then stall once again across Pennsylvania into around Long Island. The storm that went through yesterday afternoon and last night left a little bit of snow across New York State and New England. That snow will melt under the warm March sun. But then tonight when temperatures cool off  Untreated and wet surfaces will likely change over to a little bit of black ice. So keep that in mind if you're out walking around.

Tomorrow North of that boundary Temperatures are going to slowly warm. The slow moderating will continue for Friday. We have low pressure running along this boundary Currently it's out over Missouri. This is going to continue to approach our region Tomorrow night into Friday. Across Pennsylvania Maryland Delaware and New Jersey As well as southern Connecticut, Rhode Island and the Cape this will likely be all rain. But north of there temperatures are going to be a little problematic and there could be some mixing. That will be especially true of the higher elevations. Interior portions of from northeast Pennsylvania into Northwest Connecticut Especially in the Catskills and Poconos will likely be dealing with some ice. Those most affected by the ice will be along and north of I-90 across New York State, Northern Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and southern Maine. Maybe around 1⁄4 of a inch of ice will be possible for parts of the Adirondacks. While 1⁄4 inch to perhaps half an inch in spots of ice will be possible across parts of western Massachusetts and southern Vermont and over into central Massachusetts around the Worcester hills. Snow amounts for most will be light and won't be much of a big deal. Strong high pressure will be nosing in out of Canada This should keep most of the system South of Maine. Northern Maine might not see any snow. While a snow mix will be possible across southern Maine and along the coast . Far northeast Massachusetts into southern Maine could see spots that see as much as 6" of snow.

Behind this departing system Those southern gates are going to open and very mild air is going to surge northward across the region for Saturday into next week.

Over the weekend there will be a chance for some rain showers. Monday and Tuesday is going to continue to see these very warm temperatures. On Wednesday we're going to be watching a  strong cold front approach. High pressure out in the Atlantic is gonna keep us on the warm side of this for Wednesday. But Wednesday night and Thursday this is gonna come through and temperatures are going to crash back down to where they should be for this time of year.

With all the warmth Sun And rain over the next few days We're going to be losing snow pack, Southern areas will likely have no snow left By the weekend. Those northern areas will see the snow pack start to dwindle. The loss of snow and the rain is going to lead to flooding issues. We also likely gonna be dealing with ice jam flooding.

The clocks will go forward 1 hour on Sunday.
