Stormy and messy
This will cover just today If I have time I will post another one on the rest of the week into next week.
The clipper is sitting over the Great Lakes with an attached warm front lifting into and through the region. The south southwest gusty winds are bringing in warmer temperatures changing snow over the rain. The precipitation shield is going to continue to advance north and east. Currently we have Snow falling over Northwest and parts of northern Pennsylvania A large part of New York state Moving into new England. The snow has changed over to rain over southwest and south central Pennsylvania. Right along the coast this should stay plain rain. for a little bit further inland on the coastal plain a trace to half an in is possible Across northwest and the northern tier of Pennsylvania into Northeast Pennsylvania and northwest New Jersey 1-3 inches of snow is likely this will be especially true Higher elevations like the Poconos, before the change over to rain. The same general thing will be across the southern tier of New York State, will have 1-3 inches especially in the Catskills.
With the exception of northwest Connecticut, most of Connecticut, Rhode Island Eastern Massachusetts including Boston and the Cape, Along with southeast New Hampshire And along the coast of Maine. It should be all rain. With northeastern Connecticut, the lower elevations of Western Massachusetts into northern Massachusetts, South central New Hampshire into the coastal plain of Maine seeing a trace to perhaps an inch. The Berkshires Could pick up 2-4 inches of snow.
For the rest of New York State Vermont Western and northern New Hampshire and across central Maine 2-5 inches of snow, then for the tug hill through the Adirondacks, Greens and Whites along with parts of northern Maine 4 to 8 inches, with higher amounts possible..
It's winding down here (south-central Vt., saddle between southern and northern range of the Greens, 1280 alt.) and looks like we got around 5".
