I hope all the moms had a great mother's day I know I did!

The surface chart still shows high pressure is overhead. It also shows a couple of systems That will be affecting our weather as a move later into the week. The 1st is the system leaving the Northwest And the second is that cut off low down south that will be working north and east.

The system approaching from the west Is responsible for the mild conditions we are experiencing. Today will feature scattered clouds with above average temperatures inland and temperatures cooler at the coast, and winds out of the Southeast at 5-15 mph. So try to get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. Tonight we'll see the high pressure start to exit the region with clouds increasing as we go through the night.

We see that stationary front South of the Mason Dixon line. The visible satellite Also shows all those clouds Over Virginia into the Carolinas.Tonight and tomorrow that stationary front is going to reverse and become a warm front as it moves into the region. Then that southern cut off low, will bring rain showers and isolated thunderstorms for the second half of the week. Southern Pennsylvania could see a few isolated showers start tonight then as the night/overnight goes on into tomorrow the rain will continue to push north Across the rest of Pennsylvania Maryland and Delaware and become more widespread.Likely making it into central parts of New York state tomorrow afternoon. Far north of New York in northern new England Should see rain start out Wednesday morning, with rain moving into places like Boston and Maine by Wednesday afternoon. For Tuesday night through Thursday the rain doesn't look to be a washout But There will likely be moderate to heavy rain at times, with increased Humidity We will see isolated scattered thunderstorms most of these thunderstorms should be garden variety But a few could be on the strong to severe side. Those with the best chance of seeing the heavier rain Will be across the northern middle Atlantic into southern new England But that will depend on where the banding sets up but these areas could see running totals of half an  inch and a inch and a quarter.of

Friday a cold front associated with that western system will be approaching the region Just will bring more scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. The cold front will exit Saturday morning. New York state Pennsylvania and the northern middle Atlantic will still see lingering rain with clearing skies as the day goes on. The isolated rain showers will be possible heading into Sunday for these areas. Those who hang on the rain the longest will be across northern new England who will still see rain on Sunday. But it shouldn't be a complete washout. Monday looks to see a continuation of the unsettled weather.

The weather over the last several weeks here in the Northeast has been very wet As these upper of lows keep running through bringing us rain. There are signs that this pattern wants to change. As we get into later part of this week into the weekend we should start to notice some changes In the overall upper level pattern That could mean A change from these upper level lows to more of a warmer summer-like pattern.

  3. Thanks I just read it. My mother was in the hospital dying and I lost touch with everything outside of her hospital room.
